I don't really see the point in this. Why would someone buy a state of the art machine, then play PS1 games on it? Yeah, they were great at the time but, who is going to play Gran Turrismo 1, when you could play GT-HD with everything being so much better. O.K. maybe there's a couple of PS2 titles that maybe worth playing again, at least until a sequel comes out.
On the whole I think it's a bit of a waste, they should concentrate on giving us new gamming experiences, not re-sellin...
The points made are valid for a brand new system. They no longer apply to 360 but they did.
I queued for my 360 and got one day1, but I was lucky to get one with no problems, we've all heard about the problems they had at the begining.
It's now matured and is the one to beat.
I'm now going to wait until I buy a PS3 or Wii for approx 6 to 12 months, basically I'm hoping there will be a prioce drop and as stated in the article maybe there will be a A...
If we hastle EPIC enough, they will get so P'd off that they will release one just to shut us all up?
yeah, very true, I'd forgotten about the FX chip, but generally speaking it was more about which game your preffered. I think this generation will turn out to be pretty much the same.
Each has their own strengths 360 has 'live' and the PS3 looks to have the edge on GFX (when utilised properly), but again I think it will be down to which games you preffer.
It seems to me that these machine's are equally as good as each other, they are getting (mostly) the same games with exclusive content for each. The HD-DVD vs BLU-RAY is irrelevant. There's nothing wrong with standard DVD's and I'm not going to spend a fortune replacing them for either HD-DVD or BLU-RAY.
It reminds me of the days of MEGADRIVE & SNES, they were also equally as good as each other. The only choice was do you like Mario or Sonic best?
This will be the sa...
If they are hitting 25G already then, I think, they must be filling them with sh1t. I don't mean the PS3, no doubt that will be great and the games will be also, but the disks must be full of CGI or HD video to use that amount of space. The game it's self can't possibly be that big.
That blokes grown alot. The last time he was pictured he was no bigger than an Umpa Lumpa. He's been eating his Shreddies!
This game is raising the bar for games, everything that follows-this is what you have to beat. That also means you-Bungie.
CREDIT TO CLIFFY B and THE CREW THEY'VE DONE AN AMAZING JOB!! NICE ONE CHAPS!
I've had similar problems getting into a match the same as others have mentioned, but once you do manage to get into a game it's great one of the best multi-player experiences yet!
The only re-view I can give this DEMO is sh1t. I've been trying to connect on to the server all weekend with no success. Absolutely crap!
Doesn't mean this will be any good the ridge racer game BLOW! they should be left back in the 80's along with Outrun.
We have come to expect more from our games, than unrealistically sliding around bends. DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
It's great we get to see these videos, but this code things a load of dog doo!
Anyone with any sence knows already who will turn out to be the winner this xmas.
Sony really need to pull their socks up, this is just unaccetable!
P.S. How small is that bloke? (pictured above)
Wouldn't mind one of those screens pictured above the old 360, oblivion would look wicked!
most modern GFX cards have a DVI out put, so you could get a DVI to DVI cable or DVI to HDMI + adaptor or even a VGA cable. Depends on what connections your TV has.
The cable shown is not an HDMI cable it's DVI(the end with loads of pins) an HDMI looks the same as the other end. Although you can get HDMI to DVI adapters.
Make me think it's BS!
hehe. Sorry dude I've just got a stupid sence of humour.
They have pinched another idea from someone else. i.e. 'live anywhere'.
Choice is good, I can't argue with that. But I've played a few of these old games on XBLIVE and MAME etc, for I supose nostalgia, but after about five mins I'm bored. The GFX are poor, game play is poor, the controls are un-responsive and they make no attempt to update them. I find that you remember them being far better than they actually are, possibly because things have moved on so much since.
NB: This doesn't apply to all, some old games are great. I'm generalising.
